Quran Pomodoro ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal information.

Data we collect

Account data

When you create an account, we collect your email address, and optionally your first name, last name, and display name.

Learning data

We store your Quran memorization progress, including page statuses, line entries, pomodoro session history, ratings, and learning rule preferences.

Device data

If you enable push notifications, we store your device's push token and platform type (iOS/Android) to deliver reminders.

Usage data

We use privacy-friendly analytics (Vercel Analytics) that collect anonymized page views and performance metrics. No personal data or cookies are used for analytics.

How we use your data
  • To provide and maintain the Quran memorization service
  • To track and display your memorization progress
  • To send pomodoro reminders and streak notifications (if enabled)
  • To improve the application through anonymized usage statistics
Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS) with row-level security policies. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Authentication tokens on mobile devices are stored in secure platform storage (iOS Keychain / Android EncryptedSharedPreferences).

Data sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. Your data is only accessed by the services required to run the application (Supabase for database, Expo for push notifications).

Your rights
  • You can view all your data within the application at any time.
  • You can request a copy of your data by contacting us.
  • You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time through Settings → Delete Account, or via our account deletion page.
  • You can change your preferred language at any time. The application supports 16 languages.
Cookies

We use a single functional cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) to remember your language preference. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party cookies.

Children's privacy

Quran Pomodoro is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
